Oldest IIT

The IIT Kharagpur is an autonomous institution of technological education excellence set up by the Government of India in 1951. IIT KGP, as it is popularly known, is the oldest IIT in the country.In fact, IIT KGP has come to be known as one of the best engineering institutions in India.
